I really want to make myself more accountable for finishing projects. I start a lot of them that I don’t finish, so I’m gonna attack it old school.

My goal for the next eight weeks is to eat healthy, but if I bite off more than I can chew and set a goal for like six months, I think it’ll be overwhelming.

But I think I can handle eight weeks. To track my progress, I’m going to print out a monthly calendar and put a little star sticker on each day that I eat healthy, and for every ‘x’ amount of stars, I’m going to reward myself with something, because let’s get real… For self-motivating myself, bribery works.

3. What two eyeshadow brushes do you use the most?

I use a fluffy domed brush like the MAC 217 and a tapered blending brush like the MAC 224.

They aren’t necessarily always those two specific brushes, but I like those shapes.

I like dense domed brushes for precisely putting color exactly where I want it on my limited lid space, and also for feathering out the edges.

Both of those brushes are my go-tos.

4. Your current favorite YouTube channel?

This is probably because I’ve been thinking about eating healthy…but I’ve been watching a lot of a channel called fit men Cook.

Can you recommend a good one? — because the one I have is driving me bananas. Every morning it makes me swear under my breath (or, not under my breath), but it was a gift, and I feel kind of guilty about not liking it…but I can’t take it anymore.

It’s a five-cup Black & Decker. First, it doesn’t shut off automatically when I remove the pot while it’s brewing, so if I forget and just grab it, coffee pours onto the machine and the counter. With this one, you’re supposed to wait until it finishes brewing, but I didn’t have to wait with my old one. It would just stop when I pulled out the pot.

And it doesn’t matter how careful I am, there’s something about that pot… It literally dumps coffee.

Anywho…

Today is sort of a holiday last hurrah around here, and I’m kind of melancholy about it. It feels like we’ve been in holiday mode for the past two months since Halloween, doesn’t it? I’m a little sad to see the holidays end, but I’m also ready for a new beginning.

There are four of them in the 2017 summer Soleil Collection, and here are pics of two of the four in young Adonis and sun Worship. I’ve seen the other two, which are called naked Bronze and golden Peach, in previous TF summer collections. I have an older version of them, and I love ’em, but I haven’t seen the new ones in person yet.

Like Tom’s past cream and Powder Eye Colors, sun Worship and young Adonis come in a stackable, screw-top jar. Your cream shadow is in the bottom, and then you flip open the top, and that’s where you see the glitter eyeshadow, which I want to call a lot more of a glitter top coat because it isn’t highly ‎pigmented.

FYI, nobody does eye glitter like Tom Ford does. The flecks are so microscopically minuscule that they look nearly gloss on your lids.

As I get older, I’m becoming a lot more of a makeup minimalist, and I love these cream/glitter duos for basic yet sassy, sparkly looks.

Sometimes, if I’m really feelin’ it, I’ll also sweep some bronzer or MAC Soba into my crease to give my hooded eye sitch a lot more depth.

Then I’ll curl my lashes, throw on some waterproof mascara and tightline.

Tom Ford cream shadows are…OH! They’re my favorite thing about these duos.

Yeah, the glitter topcoats are terrific too, but the creams? SO pigmented, SO easy to blend, SO reputable (they don’t scoot around on my dry lids), and they don’ feel or look heavy.

I’ve heard that some folks have issues with them creasing, but that hasn’t been an issue for me. When I have them on, they stay put all day long and steer clear of my fine lines.

I think they should, because they’re just as moisturizing and creamy as the Cremesheens. They might not be as pigmented, but with darker colors like hot Tahiti, that can be a good thing, ’cause you don’t have to be as precise.

I also like that they look “worn in” when you apply them. remember when I was talking about the Milk makeup Lip colors the other day and said that they look like you’ve been wearing them for hours best after you apply them? The MAC Glazes are like that, too, except their finish is creamy instead of matte.
